If you plan to spend several days in Gosau, we recommend taking advantage of the convenient location for a trip to the popular Hallstatt. It is ideal to arrive at the parking lot in the early morning hours so that you can park without any problems. After 10 am, in season and on weekends, you have to wait to get to the parking lot.
A traditional walk through Hallstatt to the photo viewpoints will take you a morning (approx. 2-4 hours). If you set aside a whole day for Hallstatt, we recommend visiting the town in the morning and taking the cable car to the upper mine and the observation deck after lunch. You can also have lunch up there.
